College Visit Reflection
This week was a very fun time. I was able to go to three local colleges Chapman University, Soka of America, and UC San Diego. Although these are all colleges they are not all the same by any means one of the biggest differences between the schools was the class size UC San Diego being the biggest by far then Chapman in the middle putting Soka at the least amount of students with 400 students in the whole school!
I am most interested in learning something that will be helpful in my life, and also something that I want to learn. I will hopefully learn what I want to do before I go to trade school, or community college. I also think that I will stay in-state unless a good opportunity comes up, then I will give it my serious consideration. If I feel it is fit I may do that, but am I ready for college? Although I know what I want to do that doesn't mean I am not nervous I am most concerned about the amount of work I will have, because I am not ready to be bombarded with school work. One thing I am not interested in is Study Abroad, because if I visit another place I would like it to be on my own terms, and not have to still do school work. I didn’t find any clubs that were very interesting to me, but most had the ability to create your own club. If that were the case I would like to make a graphic design club if it isn’t a choice already. I am not interested in going to a University because I find that experience in the field is much better and for someone like me where entrepreneurship runs in the family I don’t need to worry about having a good major to make the person hiring me see me as better. As I will be my own boss. |
